I am honored and excited to be the new CEO of KD Nutra (Formerly Marine Ingredients and InnovaGel). Over the last few months, and with the support of Olav Sandnes, I have come to understand the processes and capabilities that have made our company a top supplier of Omega-3 solutions to the dietary supplement industry. I look forward to continuing to work closely with Olav as he assumes the role of Chairman of our KD Nutra business group.
I am reaching out to you today to explain the rationale behind our recent name change and the evolution of our branding to the new and consolidated organization. The goal is to make it easier for our customers and vendors to do business with us and therefore to become more streamlined and accessible for all our valued partners. Through mergers and acquisitions, we have become a leading provider of turnkey Omega-3 product solutions. This vertically integrated process starts with refinement and concentration of our premium bulk oils, followed by formulation and manufacturing to softgels or liquids. Finally, we conclude the process with bottled and finished packaged products. In the past this has been accomplished with inter-company processes and transactions. Beginning on November 1, 2018, Marine Ingredients and InnovaGel combined systems to become a unified brand called KD Nutra. Please be assured that the same underlying entities will continue, and our experienced team will remain in place—only our brand has changed.
As the name implies, KD Nutra will be the strategic entity within the KD Pharma Group of companies that applies our cutting-edge technologies and capabilities to the nutritional industry. This new brand will be stronger as a combined force and will continue to provide the same exceptional products and services that you, our valued partners, have come to rely on.
